Plethodontid Research is a organization founded under its parent company “Intense Herpetoculture”. Our goal is to grasp a better understanding of the captive husbandry and reproductive requirements of rare and exclusive Eurycea sp. found within Central Texas. We have been the first to successfully reproduce Eurycea naufragia within captivity and we hope to use our research gained from this experience to help others jumpstart similar programs. We are a privately funded organization that is not under the influence of local, state, and national politics. Thus we are allowed to focus on the importance of the issue without a need to “please” others to secure funding. We will report our findings via our website in our press release section for immediate release to the press and scientific community.
